gas and money
I drive a Corolla. It gets decent gas mileage. That’s why I drive it when I long for a sports car. I had to fill up my gas tank yesterday. The cost? $31.56 for 87 octane. $31.56 for a Corolla. Something is wrong with this picture.
My budget has an allotment of $100 for gas. Until the past few months that was plenty for me to get around town on. Last month my gas costs were a little below $175 for the month. That’s kind of an issue for someone that is strapped for cash. Actually it is an issue, not just ‘kind of’ an issue. My work is about 30 miles from my apartment. Yesterday I was wondering how long it would take me to bike to work. That is a crazy thought. See what money issues lead to? Craziness. I bet Van Gogh was having money issues. Sylvia Plath too.
