The revolving receptionist desk
At my job it seems like there is a new receptionist every week. A few weeks ago, there were 2 different women that had the job in the same week! Yesterday, another new person started at the front desk and I nonchalantly mentioned to a co-worker that I wondered how long this one would last. That was when I learned the reason for the revolving door in the position.
People keep getting hired, and then failing their drug test.
This kind of baffles me. If you know you have been doing drugs and you interview for a position where you have to take a drug test, what are you thinking?!? I mean, maybe these poor souls have confused drug tests with lie detector tests. By that I mean, maybe that have heard how easy it is to be a lie detector test, but somewhere along the way got their information mixed up and think that it is easy to beat a drug test. Maybe? Otherwise they are just retarded.
Speaking of retarded, I have a friend that just finished up nursing school and started her clinicals at a well known hospital. I saw her right after her final exams, and over dinner she was telling me about all of the ‘drug parties’ on campus. She said she only did some weed but most of them did coke, but only at the parties cause they’re not addicts. Uh, yeah. Apparently she missed the day of class where they teach you that cocaine is highly addictive. And I wonder what she will do when she finishes up her clinicals and has to take a drug test before getting hired somewhere. I hope she fails, because I tell you this, I don’t want to be in the emergency room with coked up nurses working on me, do you?
