Here are some interesting things I have read over the past week…
Dehydration can slow your metabolism by three percent. For someone who weighs 150 pounds, that amounts to 45 fewer calories burned each day. Even though this may not sound like a lot, think in the long term. Those extra 45 calories a day can prevent your body from burning almost 5 pounds of fat a year.
Vitamin C blocks free radical damage in and around your cells. Citrus fruits and dark green leafy vegetables are rich in vitamin C, along with most other fruits and vegetables.
