Is juice fasting a good choice for you?
While I have never tried it, I have read up on the supposed health benefits of juice fasting.
I have not tried it primarily because I am not sure that it is entirely safe for the body. You hear a lot about people juice fasting for two reasons. One reason is that people choose a period of juice fasting when they are trying to lose weight. Another reason people choose to do juice fasting is as a way of stress relief for it’s supposed toxin cleansing of the body and soul. Of course, it’s primary popularly seems to be as a detox diet for people focused on weight loss.
Juice fasting can last from a day to a few months. You can even spend time at spa resorts that specialize in juice fasting.
Juice fasting includes both fruits and vegetables. Your typical fruits and vegetables used for juice fasting include celery, carrot, kale, cabbage, apple, pineapple, cranberry, spinach, beet, and greens. Citrus fruits are usually avoided.
