One Snarky Chica with Issues

I overheard a co-worked talking on the phone to her husband. Apparently he was selected for jury duty. And it will last two weeks. My co-worker was mad because apparently the husband’s job is making him use his entire two week vacation time to do this jury duty. That leaves him with zero vacation time all because he has to do jury duty.

So that got me to thinking. Why do they make people that have a job do jury duty? Would it not be a better idea to take people who are getting unemployment benefits and have them do it? Just a thought.
