Did You Know That Yogurt Can Boost Your Weight Loss?

Are you trying to lose some weight? Did you know that eating a little yogurt could help you out with that?

Apparently a study was done recently that shows that people that added three servings of yogurt to their daily diet (as opposed to those that just cut calories) were able to boost their weight loss.

In fact, in that study, the group that ate 3 servings of yogurt a day did better than those that cut calories alone in the following ways -

  • lost an average of 22% more body weight,
  • lost 61% more body fat (lost an average of 81% more fat from the middle section of their bodies)
  • maintained more lean muscle than those on the low-dairy diet during the study
  • Wow. And all they were doing was eating 3 servings of light non fat yogurt a day.

    The interesting thing about the study is that no one really knows why it worked. They do know that it has a lot of protein, which could account for the finding of more lean muscle.

      Ahh.. therein lies the problem.

      I cannot eat low-fat or no-fat yoghurt any more

      It’s only 2.5% or 8% fat for me.. but it’s quite filling after a couple of bites, which is a bonus
