People and parking lots - some observations

Posted by chica with issues under general issues

Do you ever have those days when you go out to run errands and just get really annoyed with people? Well, this is day two of that day for me.

I went to Target this morning. I parked on the other side of the earth. You see, whenever I go any place like Target I park far away from the door. I do this for a few reasons. First, it’s good exercise. And it is easier to get out of the parking lot come time to leave if you are not in a busy aisle of the lot. Less people park on the other side of the earth so there is less likelihood that someone ignorant schmuck will ding your car with their door or their cart. But some times it does not matter where you park - like today - when someone wanted to park right beside me! Now, I was as far from the front door as you could get without going across the street. I come out of Target and someone has parked right beside me. We are the only two cars that far out. And not only did they park right beside me - but they were not in the space right and it was all I could do to open my car door to get in. Argh!

I also get annoyed with the lazy people in parking lots. Yesterday I went to the grocery store. When I came out to my car there was a woman who was parked near me that was unloading her groceries into her car. I then saw her push her shopping cart into the parking space in front of her car before getting into her car and leaving. The interesting thing about this was that the cart return was directly in front of her. It was on the other side of that open parking space she put her cart in. Yet, for some reason, she just could not bring herself to take those extra few steps. I just don’t get it.

    That also makes me angry.

Or when people do a drive-by parking, and stop RIGHT at the curve of the road to jump out for Starbucks

    WTF

Drive further so that people don’t get stuck behind a PARKED car in the road, when they’re trying to turn right and get to where they need to go!
