Breaking free of workaholism
Do you think that you are a workaholic? Now, ask your friends and family and see if you get a different answer! The fact is that a lot of us have been known to be a bit of a workaholic. Maybe it is just around deadlines. Or maybe is it all the time. And there is a chance that you do not even recognize the behavior in yourself.
No matter which way you cut it though, being a workaholic is not a good thing; contrary to what your boss may think. In fact, in Japan workaholism is called “karoshi” or “death by overwork.”
Blech, death by overwork does not sound like something desirable to me. But not to worry - you can overcome your addiction to work! And wouldn’t you know that there is on of those ‘anonymous’ support groups for it. That’s right, you can work on overcoming your addiction to work with the help of Workaholics Anonymous.
You can also start implementing some practical steps now. Start delegating to others to help lighten your workload. Surprise - you are not the only person that can do the task! And start making plans that are not work related - but leisure activities. And make sure you do not cancel them! Start leaving on time each day. But beware this tip if you have a boss like my last one - if you have a boss that expects you live at work you might end up getting let go for leaving on time regularly like I did.
But if that is the case, you do not need that job as it just contributes to your workaholic tendencies.

I wouldn’t call myself a workaholic but I guess others might.. I just like to keep busy. :\ So I sell stuff, I organize, I scan, I want to yoga, I want to work at work…
So I guess I’m a workaholic in general. I like doing and getting stuff done…. and feeling productive… it’s hard for me just to sit still
BUT!! I can waste a ton of time just fritzing around on my blog
