Save money by using eBay

I know what you are thinking. You can’t save money by using eBay. Except that you can. Sure, eBay can be a little bit addictive. You can end up spending and buying more than you meant to. But you can also score some awesome deals that will save you some money in the long run.

Something that you might not have thought about before is buying clothes on eBay. Now some of you will insert the “ew, gross” factor here. But really, how is it any different than buying at a second hand store? Most people that are selling clothes on eBay will mention if they have a smoke-free or pet-free home. I have even seen auctions listing the home as “kid-free” as well! So, if you have a job that requires you to dress in a professional manner you really should check out eBay. I looked at completed auction listings for women’s suits and saw several that sold for way less than they were worth. Some were even brand new! One in particular was from New York and Company and it sold for $0.99 with tags still attached! It was a sharp looking suit too. :)

I have also seen that eBay is a great place to buy computer parts. I myself recently upgraded the memory in my desktop and I was left with a stick of memory that I could not use. I put it up on eBay and sold it for $2.50. It was worth way more than that so someone got a heck of a deal but there was no real way for me to sell it at its actual value. And $2.50 is better than nothing.

eBay is also a great place to shop for coupons! There are always a lot of coupons to choose from on eBay. And I know the people on the SlickDeals forum are always scoring coupons for places like Staples and Circuit City from eBay.

The key is to be able to practice willpower and not look for collectibles when you should be looking for cheap clothing or the like!

And you might want to sign into your eBay account real soon as there is a promo going on that a lot of users are getting - a coupon for $10 off a $50 eBay purchase!
