One Snarky Chica with Issues

I have been reading a lot of articles lately about the economy and the unemployment rate. And yesterday I came across an article claiming to show the best and worst cities for your job. Now, the article was using things like the cost of living in the area to come up with your “real wage” and then deciding on what cities ranked the best and worst for that.

Considering the high cost of rent in cities like New York and Los Angeles, I was not too terribly surprised to see them on pretty much all of the “worst” lists for each profession. I was, however, surprised by the cities that consistently ranked “best.”

Charlotte and Denver were also tops on a lot of the lists. I would have liked to have seen a list that took into account the local unemployment rate as well instead of just the standard of living you could expect.
