The true cost of Amazon Prime
Posted by chica with issues under money issues
I like the convenience of ordering things online. And I really like Amazon.com as I can get everything from groceries to computers
to Brita Water filters
to books and cds
- all from one site. Basically, that is my way of saying that Amazon gets a lot of my money.
So, a while back when I was offered the chance to try out Amazon Prime for free, I jumped at it. I mean, who wouldn’t take free 2-day shipping? Sign me up!
It wasn’t too long before I noticed something sinister at work. My mind was justifying purchases of things that I did not need from Amazon just because I could get them quickly - in two days at no cost! I spent a heck of a lot more on Amazon when I had Amazon Prime than when I did not.
So, beware the Amazon Prime! ![]()

LOL! It was funny reading this because I did the exact thing a few months back. I canceled Amazon Prime right before the trial was up. I ended up ordering a bunch of stuff that I didn’t need during that period because I felt that I needed to take advantage of Amazon Prime.

For those of you with Prime memberships, here’s a good website for searching for Amazon Prime items:
