Observing others financial choices, part 2

What do you do when the repo man came for you car the night before and you don’t have the money for it?

You rent a movie from the cable on demand!

So, let’s recap - you don’t have $200 for a car payment so you decide to spend $5.00 renting a movie from your on demand cable. That makes perfect sense. They wanted to watch a movie. I was cool with that. They have a cable package that has all of the movie channels. I assumed we would just find something interesting on one of those.

When I saw them scrolling through the on demand listings I said “We can just watch something on HBO or something.”

And they reply “We’re not that poor.”

Clearly, they are in a bit of denial regarding their financial situation. From the events from the previous night, it is clear that the five bucks would be best spent going to the car loan instead of Time Warner.
