Don’t kill your dreams by doing what works
Are you a dreamer? Someone that spends their days in the 9 to 5 thinking about things like working only 3 days a week from a remote location? Or maybe you would just like to escape the cubicle for your own home office or start up your own stand alone business? I spend a lot of time being a dreamer. That is why my posting has taken a backseat to other projects over the last few weeks. Instead I have been working on several large projects to make dreams reality and reality as it currently is just a distant memory.
I know I am not the only dreamer out there. I think a lot of dreamers get labeled as slacker though since they spend a lot of cubicle time working on their own stuff. But the reality is that we are not slackers, we are just doing things differently. Jonathan over at Illuminated Mind calls this not living life based on a template. In fact, there is an awesome article up on Illuminated Mind from last week titled The Number One Dream Killer: Doing What Works. It is definitely worth a read if you have not seen it yet.
