10 Things I Won’t Give Up To Save Money

Inspired by the same post on Fabulously Broke in the City, here is my list of 10 Things I Won’t Give Up To Save Money.

High speed internet - I depend on it for income, so it’s a no-go.

Laptop - I love being able to work from anywhere.

Organic fruits & veggies - I don’t eat things that have extra crap in them for health reasons so this is non-negotiable. Plus this is practically all I eat!

High quality shoes -I like to pay a premium for something that is high quality and will last for years. Plus I get foot cramps when I wear cheap shoes.

The occasional dinner out with friends/family - invaluable time.

Ritter Sport Chocolate - simply divine. It’s the only candy/chocolate I eat. I’m partial to the Alpine Milk and the Milk Chocolate with Butter Biscuit.

Living in a city -I grew up in a backwards small town. I hated it. I would much rather pay for being closer to cultural things. And more grocery store options :) There was only one grocery store where I grew up.

The occasional theater ticket - I love going to see live theater - but only when I can find discount tickets.  I don’t go to the movies and such though.

Art supplies -  When I have the time, I like to paint. It’s also good for stress.

Gifts for others - I don’t spend a lot on gift to begin with, but I just don’t get people that stop giving gifts to save money. Doesn’t it make you feel good to give something to someone else?

Have you made your top 10 list too?

I was just thinking about this same thing this morning. I think I may sit down and make a list. I’ll try and put it on my blog tomorrow.
