People + Public Restrooms = Strangeness

Sometimes people do things that just leave me with one thought - wtf?
Imagine this -
You go into a public restroom. There are multiple stalls. All of them are empty. You choose one and enter. Moments later a second person enters the restroom. Before you know it she is in one of the stalls next to you.
Why? Why? Why?
There are plenty of other empty stalls, why do people want to get in one right next to you? It’s just weird.
And what about this? Do you ever have people in the stalls next to or near you that seem like they are trying to race you out of the stalls? Also weird. And hello, there is no prize for getting to the sink first!

Ahhhh! OMG! I thought I was the ONLY person that thought this. The bathroom at my work has 14 stalls, and there is rarely more than one or two people in there. People ALWAYS come into the stall next to me. It is so creepy! Haha, thanks for making me laugh!
